Our Story

We expand the boundaries of what's recoverable.

CLN Global Inc. is a materials recovery innovation company. We don't just recover waste – we rethink what it can be.

Who we are

Materials science, built into an operating network.

Our leading team of materials scientists pushes the boundaries of what's possible, commercializing validated technologies that unlock new value from complex waste streams.

Our operational network was purpose-built to compound recovery capabilities across every facility. It transforms recaptured materials into high-value resources ready to re-enter the supply chain, delivering a total circular solution to the world's largest manufacturers. We're building the circular economy infrastructure that will power the next industrial era.

Our journey

Multiple decades of operating experience. One network.

From a single specialty aluminum recycler in 1985 to a network of recovery innovation companies across Ontario and Connecticut.

  1. 1985

    CT Metal is founded

Specialty aluminum recovery begins in Ansonia, Connecticut.

  2. 1998

    Min-Tech is founded

Post-industrial plastics processing begins in Campbellford, Ontario.

  3. 2017

    Green Spill Kits

Green Spill Kits products and technologies are developed, turning recovered materials into spill-control products.

  4. 2019

    Lacero Solutions is founded

Secure destruction and recycling of airbags and automotive safety components begins in Toronto.

  5. Aug 2025

    CT Metal joins CLN

CT Metal Industries, and its WeBuyRolls brand, join the CLN network.

  6. Next

    Growing the network

Bringing more specialized recovery operators into CLN. How we plan to grow

Tim Johnston, Chief Executive Officer

For years, circular economy infrastructure operating at scale was our future ideal, and something industry experts only theorized. CLN's model proves it's possible now: recovered waste from complex streams, going back into the supply chain every day.

Tim Johnston Chief Executive Officer, CLN Global Inc.

Vision

A future where CLN has set the benchmark for the recovery and reuse of end-of-life materials, with our proprietary processes replacing disposal as the industry-wide standard.

Mission

To expand the boundary of what's recoverable, turning complex industrial problems into circular solutions through materials science and innovative technology.

What sets us apart

Our Mantra: From waste to worth.

Others focus on waste-to-energy and incineration. CLN offers the better-value solution. Our materials scientists continually develop processes to recover what was formerly waste, and return it to industrial streams as raw feedstock.

Worth High-value resources back in the supply chain
01

Materials science leadership

Solutions for the hardest post-industrial and hazardous streams: aluminum, plastics, airbags, explosives, batteries and contaminated soils.

02

One centrally resourced network

A single point of entry across the heart of heavy manufacturing: efficient processing with lower transportation costs than fragmented, single-stream providers.

03

High-value resources

Recaptured materials go back to the supply chain as raw feedstock. Our "waste to worth" model returns recovered materials to market.

04

Verified circular outcomes

Measurable landfill and incineration diversion means credible data for our customers' sustainability commitments and reporting.
